I have to admit, when I first started reading this book, I thought that Jillian was going to give the reader nothing but the facts. But, exercise tips and weight loss tricks were nowhere to be seen. Jillian wastes no time diving straight into the science of it all. At first, I was disappointed. However, the more I read, the more I learned.
Jillian provides the knowledge that everyone needs to make smart decisions when at the grocery store or at local restaurants. I soon learned how certain ingredients in the food that I consume negatively affect my hormones, which relates to fat storage and weight gain.
I found it very helpful to keep a notebook while reading. This helped me to create a fact sheet that I could easily locate before heading to the store. If you are serious about getting healthy, this is the book for you!
